Dated Pages Management

The Dated Pages management interface allows administrators to view, search, edit, and manage time-sensitive pages and events within the system. This tool provides comprehensive control over dated content with advanced filtering, sorting, and bulk operations capabilities.

Quick Start

To get started: Click Add to create a new dated page, use the search box to find specific content, or click column headers to sort results. Use the workgroup selector to filter content by team or organization.

Search and Filtering

Search Functionality

The search feature queries multiple fields simultaneously:

  • Page Descriptions: Searches within page content and titles
  • Owner Names: Finds pages by creator or assigned owner
  • Start/End Dates: Matches date ranges and specific dates
  • Organizations: Filters by organizational categories
  • Page IDs: Direct lookup by unique identifier

Workgroup Filtering

The workgroup selector allows you to:

  • View pages from different organizational units
  • Switch between team contexts without losing search criteria
  • Filter content based on user permissions and access levels

Data Table Columns

The main data table displays the following information:

Row Color Coding

Rows are color-coded to indicate page status:

  • Light Blue - Page is active today
  • Light Green - Page started in the past but still active
  • Teal - Page has expired
  • Light Gray - Future pages (alternating with white)

Bulk Operations

Selection Controls

Use the master checkbox in the header to select or deselect all visible pages. Individual checkboxes allow selective operations on specific pages.

Permanently Delete Permanently Delete Irreversibly removes pages from the database

Important: Deletion Process

The system uses a three-stage deletion process: Active â?? Soft Deleted â?? Permanently Deleted. Only permanently deleted pages cannot be recovered. Always verify your selections before confirming bulk operations.

Sorting and Navigation

Column Sorting

Click any sortable column header to sort results. Available sort options include:

  • ID: Numerical order by unique identifier
  • StartDate: Chronological order by activation date
  • EndDate: Chronological order by expiration date
  • Description: Alphabetical order by page title
  • Owner: Alphabetical order by creator name

Sort direction toggles between ascending and descending with visual indicators (up/down arrows).

Search Persistence

Search terms and sort preferences are maintained across operations, allowing you to delete, edit, or perform other actions while preserving your current view context.


Permission System

Required Permissions

The system enforces role-based permissions for different operations:

Admin Privileges

Users with Admin1 status (Client.ID = 1) bypass most permission restrictions and can:

  • View all pages across all workgroups
  • Perform any operation regardless of specific permissions
  • Access advanced filtering and management features

Deleted Pages Management

Accessing Deleted Pages

Click the UnDelete button to switch to the deleted pages view. This shows all soft-deleted pages with a Showing Deleted badge.

Recovery Workflow

  1. Navigate to deleted pages view using the UnDelete button
  2. Select pages to restore using checkboxes
  3. Click the green + button
  4. Confirm the restoration when prompted
  5. Pages return to active status immediately

Permanent Deletion

In deleted pages view, use the Permanently Delete button to irreversibly remove pages from the database. This action cannot be undone and requires explicit confirmation.



Workflow Examples

Creating a New Dated Page

  1. Ensure you have Calendars_Events_Add permission
  2. Click the Add button in the toolbar
  3. Complete the page creation form with start/end dates
  4. Save and return to the management interface
  5. Verify the new page appears in the appropriate date range

Bulk Cleanup Workflow

  1. Use search filters to identify expired or unwanted pages
  2. Select multiple pages using individual or master checkboxes
  3. Click the red X button to soft delete selected pages
  4. Review deleted pages using the UnDelete view
  5. Permanently delete pages that are no longer needed

Workgroup Management

  1. Select appropriate workgroup from the dropdown
  2. Click Change Path to apply the filter
  3. Perform management tasks within the selected context
  4. Switch workgroups as needed without losing search criteria
